Russian Dissident

You probably have read in the news about the death of the Russian spy-turned-dissident Alexander Litvinenko. He was investigating the death of a Russian journalist killed in October, when he also became a victim.

It just seems obvious to me that the Russian government is totaly involved in the killing, not only of Litvinenko, but of all those who are fighting for freedom and democracy in Russia.

Walter Litvinenko, Alexander Litvinenko's dad, said:

"My son died yesterday, and he was killed by a tiny nuclear bomb. It was so small you could not see it. But the people who killed him have big nuclear bombs and missels, and those people should not be trusted... Sasha (Alexander Litvinenko) fought this regime and this regime got him. If we let this go, if we go about our business as usual, this regime will get to all of us."

I'd like to publish in full Litvinenko deathbed statement, where he also acuses the Kremlin for his death.

Litvinenko statement

(Russian former spy Alexander Litvinenko dictated a statement two days before his death, which was read out by his friend Alex Goldfarb outside University College Hospital in London on Friday.)

I would like to thank many people. My doctors, nurses and hospital staff who are doing all they can for me, the British police who are pursuing my case with vigour and professionalism and are watching over me and my family.
I would like to thank the British government for taking me under their care. I am honoured to be a British citizen.
I would like to thank the British public for their messages of support and for the interest they have shown in my plight.
I thank my wife Marina, who has stood by me. My love for her and our son knows no bounds.
But as I lie here I can distinctly hear the beating of wings of the angel of death.
I may be able to give him the slip but I have to say my legs do not run as fast as I would like.
I think, therefore, that this may be the time to say one or two things to the person responsible for my present condition.

You may succeed in silencing me but that silence comes at a price. You have shown yourself to be as barbaric and ruthless as your most hostile critics have claimed.
You have shown yourself to have no respect for life, liberty or any civilised value.
You have shown yourself to be unworthy of your office, to be unworthy of the trust of civilised men and women.
You may succeed in silencing one man but the howl of protest from around the world will reverberate, Mr Putin, in your ears for the rest of your life.

May God forgive you for what you have done, not only to me but to beloved Russia and its people.

Waltzing for the heart

I was delighted to learn about a research that proved that waltzing is a very effective exercise for heart patients.

Researches studied 110 patients with heart desease, and confirmed that those who danced waltz improved their ability to do their everyday activities, and even improved their sexual life.

It is very important for people with heart problems to exercise, and to learn that waltzing can be as good as a treadmill is wonderful.

Freedom is a Wonderful Thing!

Today, Independence Day, I would like to comment on an article I read in the LA Times. The article, entitled "Why I came to America," told the stories of three people who immigrated to the United States in search of religious, political and economic freedom. The one story that touched me the most was that of a young Tibetan woman whose name is Ngawang Sangdrol. Sangdrol was imprisioned by the Chinese government when she was only 13, for joining demonstrations in favor of religious freedom. During the 11 years she spent in prison, she was beaten and forbidden to practice her religion. Fortunately, in 2003, Sangdrol was offered asylum in the United States. She now lives in New Jersey and rejoices about the fact that she can now practice her religion without fear of persecution.

Her story just reminds me that America is a nation whose destiny is to defend the cause of Liberty worldwide.

And as it is engraved at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty:

"For the tired, the poor, the world's huddled masses yearning to breathe free, America remains a powerful beacon of hope."

Happy Birthday USA!

Welcome to my blog and my website!

Dear Friends!

As you probably have noticed, the site is still on the works. Most of the content still needs to be added, and I am working to have it published soon.

As a Keeper of the Flame, I have always wanted to host a website that focus on the subject of freedom and the violet flame (and what a great tool the internet has become for those, like me, interested in doing outreach!!!)

The opportunity came when I learned about CafePress. Finally I could have a website and use my graphic design training to design t-shirts, buttons, bumper stickers and so on, all featuring some aspect of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters.

And haven’t you ever wished you could wear a T-shirt with an image of the violet flame printed on it? Or perhaps have a sticker with your favorite ascended master’s quote?

I hope you agree with me that this is an easy and effective way to help spread the Teachings around the world, starting with your own neighborhood.

So, take advantage of this opportunity and keep in mind that Freedom Corner is a safe and secure website.

I certainly appreciate your feedback and any contributions you can give in form of articles, testimonials, artworks, etc.

Let us remember than that God is counting on us, and that together we can turn things around.

O Freedom’s song will fill my soul
For Freedom is thy highest goal…

Liberty and Love to you all!
